Vintage collectible matchbox labels (Soviet Union)
I found this box in the attic the other day. These pins belonged to my grandfather.
I bought this collection of 400+ space-themed pins yesterday (it’s not from the flea market but from a local man) - and I’m in awe! What a treasure.
#tbt When I had my postcard collection exhibited in 2013
It was fun and I loved the feedback, but putting it up and then down was more work than I imagined!
Mushroom postage stamps collection that I put together ()

This is my collection of Soviet New Year’s Day stamps. It’s not comprehensive, I don’t think, I collect them casually along with holiday stamps from other countries.
My favourite is the Ostankino TV Tower one from 1967, and of course the Olympic Mishka one!

I have huge new stock coming in, my desk is swamped with postcards! I love it. :D This picture is the sets, half of them being Pushkin-themed or Pushkin-related. (Pushkin, the Russian poet.)
I will be adding sneak peeks of many sets in the next days, and I hope you will enjoy looking at them with me.
(Btw, sneak peek is one of the most difficult phrases in English. I always have to pause and think about it. Sneek pick? Snick peak? It’s hard!)
To all postcard collectors over there, do you generally prefer used (written, mailed) or unused postcards for your collection?
I prefer written and mailed because they tell an interesting story, but I hear many like their postcards in pristine condition.
