Flash news - there’s a new book out about Soviet postcards called “The Soviet World in Postcards”. I’ll be getting one for myself and if anyone wants it I can get one for you too. It’s in Russian though, but looks promising. It’s not a catalogue but rather a recap of a (huge) personal collection with an in-depth look into messages written on the backside of postcards and what they tell about the Soviet mentality. The author is a philosopher and a professor, so I’m hoping for some interesting insight.
