Vintage rose postcards, 1959—1969
Full set of 30 vintage postcards with pictures of garden roses. All postcards are wonderfully vibrant and bright. You can almost smell the frangrance! On the back of each postcard is the roses’s name/cultivar and description (in Russian). The cultivars that are international are translated in English, for example Lilli Marlen, Centenair de Lourdes, Ophelia W. Paul, Queen Elizabeth etc. Russian and Soviet cultivated roses are not translated.
This is one of the most beautiful postcard set I’ve ever seen (but I do love roses so!)
Printed in 1973.
