This blog is about old postcards, book illustration, history and culture of Russia and the Soviet Union. I'm a long time collector, and this blog is 10 years old.

Vintage handmade cross-stitched pieces: a big decorative piece (a pillow throw?), a sort-of pillowcase and four napkins. These were made in 1950s or 1960s.
Size info
Long piece: 69 × 24 cm (27.2″ × 9.5″) Pillowcase: 36 × 42 cm (14″ × 16.5Э) Napkins: 37 × 32 cm (14″ × 12.5″) - two pink flowers, 28 × 33 cm (13″ × 11″) - pink & yellow
The sort-of pillowcase is a bit of a mystery to me. It’s basically a loop of fabric - a long piece connected at the ends. Two sides are open. It may have been intended as a decorative second pillowcase, or maybe something else entirely.
The napkins are ± in size, they’re not cut super evenly. They also have a couple brown spots from previous use.
Price
Long piece: $10 Pillowcase: $6 Napkins: $7 for each set of two

Moscow Metro, postcard set from 1980 (18 postcards). Size of each postcard is 9 × 21 cm (3.5″ × 8.2″).
There’s a metro map on the inside of the set cover. As bonus I’ll add a 1985 metro map so you can spend some quality time seeing how the Moscow metro changed during the span of 5 years.
