Cover of “Building USSR” (August 1937). You can see the specially designed ring that held together a pioneer’s red scarf. Those rings were widely used until late 30s and then were gradually replaced with pioneer pins.
A ‘Soviet candy shop’ on Novosloboskaya. It carries some traditional Russian sweets and has a nice little display of vintage packaging. And the impressive Soviet red scales!
